Hibernian moved to new offices

Hibernian moved to new offices. In May 2006, and after 20 years in Northolt, due to the continued expansion of the Company we moved to our new premises in Old Amersham High Street, We occupy both floors of our own detached office building. The move incorporated a Merger with Luker Rowe & Co Ltd who are an excellent and well respected Company. The combined Company will provide many additional mutual benefits and increase the services we can already provide to our Clients.

All our staff transferred to our new offices so as to provide a continuity of service to all our Clients


Directors and Officers - Are you aware of your legal responsibilities?

These were not, and ended up paying for it:

• The director of a building company was prosecuted under the Health & Safety at Work Act because no safe system of work had been proposed by his company or agreed by the HSE.

• A managing director and his company are currently being sued for alleged unlawful use of a trademark.

• A director who unintentionally libelled a competitor during the course of a contentious takeover was sued personally, although the matter was settled out of court.

Did you know that under the Companies Act 1985, directors can be considered liable for 200 different offences? Other Acts pile on even more accountability. Damages can mount up with breath-taking swiftness. In some cases, the law states that costs cannot be paid by the company but are the full responsibility of the director alone.

Hibernian now has a policy which is designed to protect directors and senior officials working in companies. The good news is that premiums can be paid by the company, while they are tax-free for the individual directors.
